Archbishop Chaput Dedicates Senior Housing in East Kensington

On October 4, 2016, Archbishop Charles Chaput, OFM Cap. presided at the joy-filled Dedication of St. Francis Villa in the East Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia.  St. Francis Villa features 40 one bedroom apartments for age and income qualified seniors. Residents began moving into the building in June and it is now home to 44 seniors….

Groundbreaking for Senior Housing in South Philadelphia

On August 8, 2016, Catholic Housing and Community Services broke ground for St. John Neumann Place II and Wellness Center.  This new building will feature 52 one bedroom apartments for income qualified seniors, aged 62 and older and a Wellness Center for income qualified seniors in the community. Norris Square Senior Community Center Awarded Grant

Norris Square Senior Community Center, located in the Norris Square neighborhood of North Philadelphia, has been selected to receive a Senior Community Grant in the amount of $80,877 from the Pennsylvania Department of Aging.  These grant funds will help maintain the meal program at the center and will be used to provide much needed upgrades…

St. Anne’s wins People’s Choice Award in Upcycle Throwdown

St. Anne’s Senior Community Center won the People’s Choice Award for their entry “Catch the Spirit” in the Spirit Upcycled Art Competition. This event was sponsored by the Spirit Newspapers.
