Nativity B.V.M. Place Hosts Birthday Celebration and Thank Honey’s Angels’ Founder for Support
For the second consecutive year, Nativity B.V.M Place has partnered with Honey’s Angels to sponsor monthly resident birthday celebrations. To thank Honey’s Angels for their generous support, Nativity B.V.M. Place honored Cathy McVey Palmer, the organization’s founder, at this last month’s resident birthday celebration.
For more than 11 years, Honey’s Angels has provided food and supermarket gift cards to struggling families, especially during the Advent and Christmas seasons. Founded in 2006, the program honors Helen “Honey” McVey, a generous, compassionate Philadelphia woman who spent much of her life caring for others including her family, her neighbors, the sick, and the elderly. Last year, Honey’s Angels generously helped Nativity B.V.M. Place fund monthly birthday parties for the senior residents.
