Media Advisory: Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Teams Up With Centennial Pharmacy Services to Bring COVID-19 Vaccines To Senior Citizens in the Latino and Hispanic Community
Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CHCS) is teaming up with Centennial Pharmacy Services to hold on-site vaccination clinics and provide COVID-19 vaccines to Latino and Hispanic older adults in North Philadelphia who benefit from programs operated by CHCS.
Approximately 120 residents and clients of CHCS’ Casa Carmen Aponte, an affordable housing site for seniors, and Norris Square Senior Community Center, located on the ground floor of the housing site, will receive the vaccine.

In addition, nearly 20 senior residents at CHCS’ Saint Francis Villa, located in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood, will also receive the vaccine that day. Saint Francis Villa primarily serves Latino and Hispanic older adults.
This effort is one way CHCS is continuing to care for and address the immediate needs of older adults amid the pandemic, especially those in the Hispanic and Latino Community who have been disproportionately affected and face barriers to vaccine access. Bilingual CHCS staff continuously engage with older adults to ensure they can gain access to COVID-19 testing and vaccinations while providing culturally and linguistically appropriate resources.
Friday’s clinic is not open to the public and is for CHCS’ residents and program participants only. Similar vaccination clinics with Centennial Pharmacy Services for CHCS’ residents and program participants are scheduled for the future.
