Seniors from Catholic Housing and Community Services’ Saint John Neumann Place (SJNP) and Saint John Neumann Place II (SJNPII) To Celebrate Older Americans Month

Seniors from Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CHCS) Saint John Neumann Place (SJNP) and Saint John Neumann Place II (SJNPII) will celebrate Older Americans Month and Presby’s Inspired Life’s Annual Day of Inspiration with a barbeque.

More than 60 senior residents will be in attendance as well as staff from CHCS. Highlights of the celebration will include food, refreshments, dancing, entertainment, raffle prizes, outdoor activities, and more. In addition, resident’s art work will be on display from the Wellness Center Programming.

Team members from Presby’s Inspired Life will also be present in honor of their Annual Day of Inspiration. This annual giving event engages residents of Presby’s communities and community neighbors in a day of service to address the needs of the community.

Heather Huot, Assistant Director of Parish and Housing Services for CHCS said, “CHCS is proud to celebrate Older Americans Month with the residents of St. John Neumann Place and St. John Neumann Place II.  In this community, they connect with each other, share their gifts and talents, and give back to those around them. We are delighted to see how this campus has transformed into a lively, creative place where our older Americans live, share, create and grow all while living with dignity and the highest quality of life.”

Older Americans Month is observed nationally each May to honor the contributions of older adults to their communities. This year’s theme “Connect, Create, and Contribute” encourages older adults and their communities to connect with friends and family, create activities that promote learning, health, and personal enrichment, and contribute time, talent and life experience to benefit others.
